This past week went by pretty fast. We started out the week pretty awesome. We had set up an appoitment to meet with a potential investigator to play basketball. While we were waiting for him at the courts these four kids rolled up on roller skates. We played around with them for a while and they all decided to leave except one of them who said he wanted to stay.
So we talked to him for a little while and we talked about a lot of random stuff. We eventually turned the conversation gospel and asked him questions about religion. He said he
attended church with his parents but that it was confusing. He said he didnt really understand who Jesus was or who God was. So we had a short little lesson with him then and there and we set up an appointment to meet on another day. His name is 김현영 (kim hyeon yeong) and he is 13 years old in Korean (american age is like 11). So that was awesome. But then we met with him again and it was super strange
becuse he was like taking pictures of our BoMs and pamphllets but he refused to take any from us and he said he didnt want to here our message. So we think he told his parents and his parents probably told him to take pictures so they could find out who we are.
So we found an
investigator and got dropped by the same one in about 4 days. The weather has been heating up a bit too. But it still rains a lot. So its like ya I have an umbrella too keep the rain from getting me wet, but its so hot and humid that im still just getting drenched by my sweat. It rained on saturday so we couldnt have our basketball activity which was a bummer. This my last week together with elder brown. We get transfer calls on thursday so we will find out then which one of us is leaving. Its about a 50/50 chance of me leaving i guess. But whatever happens happens and im just going to try to not
get all worked up about it.
The trees also started to bloom this past
week. There are cherry blossoms all over the place in this little town for some reason. So thos are really pretty to look at. They only last for a little while though i heard. So ill enjoy them while i can. The work is going a little slow but at least its moving. My 5 month mark is creeping up pretty soon. Its crazy to think how much time has already gone by. Korean is coming along pretty well. If i focus really hard i can get about 50% percent of Sacrament meeting. That reminds me. I had to give a talk in Sacrament meeting yesterday. It went
alright. I think i talked for like 8ish minutes which is longer then the talks i used to give in my homeward.
Last week we did a bunch of travelling too. I think like 10 hours total at least. We went to Dongrae, Chang Weon, Masan, and of course Jin Joo and we are always going back and forth from Sacheon and Sam Cheon po. So ya we've been having a fun time. I dont think we had too much unusual food this past week. Me and elder brown had bought some raman super cheap the other week. We found out why it was cheap. Its probably because it was too hot even for the koreans to eat. First off its brand is 남자 which basically just means like man. So we had man raman. I was sweating
buckets the entire time i was eating it. It never cooled down and it tasted like boiling lava the entire time we ate it. I think i might have to buy some new clothes too. One because my shirts have stains on them now, and two because it looks like i borrowed them from andre the giant. I want to weigh my self but for somereason scales dont exist in korea. But none of my clothes fit me anymore. Good thing is clothes
are really cheap in Korea. I guess you can buy a suit for like 50 bucks here. So i may look for one.
Other than that not to much has gone on. I love you all. I hope you all have a great day and enjoy the weather. See you all soon!
