Hello all. This week was full of a lot of different and interesting things. Its fun to look back at a week and think of all the highlights of it. This last week was definitely tough work. We had a hard time meeting with any of our investigators and we were only able to get in like 1 lesson for the whole week. Our investigator 필효 kinda just like fell off the cliff or something because he wont meet with us now and totall stood us up yesterday for our meeting we were supposed to have after church. Its a bummer since he was such an awesome kid and had the most potential of any investigator I've had. So its been back to the drawing board for us lately.

At our last weeks Basketball Activity on saturday we were able to talk to 정환 about seeing if he could make
it to our activity later that day. We've been planning this super
awesome activity for our branch, me and elder brown and the sister missionaries. It was themed "Game Night" and we basically had like board games and decorated the whole church. We had to main events being: a huge game of Sorry where the poeple are the pieces and they have to walk around on tile pieces, and a huge game of Battleship. Me
and Elder Brown were in charge of battleship. We set up chairs in the chapel and divided the room in half with ping pong tables. I drew soom cool pictures and hung them up on the walls and people had to throw balls over the ping pong tables to hit people sitting in the chairs. The sisters took a bunch of pictures so ill try to get them to send some home.

But anyways we invited basically all of our investigators.
We planned for about 40 people to show up but we only had about 16. We still had a super fun time and two of our investigators showed up: 김우진 and 정환. It was super awesome because they said they had a fun time and
it was good for them to have some interactions with the branch. Also we had Branch Council last sunday. And 김우진 showed up to that too. It was awesome because it was the first time that i've had one of my investigators come to church! Super sweet. So we've been having a lot of ups and downs.

And to finish this email off ill tell you my crazy korean food experience of the week. This past weeks one was hardcore.
Two of our english students took us out to eat last thursday. It was some super intense seafood place (my worst nightmare). Before we started eating my comp turned and looked at me and said "buckle up". So ya i was pretty scared. So they basically started bringing out all of this crazy looking seafood. I will just name off the things that they had us eat: Sea Slug (super tough texture and has zero taste), Eel (it was ok i guess), Oysters, Some gross orange things (they were basically like giant loogies), this one pepper that legit made me started to cry, this sea crap looking thing (they had me put like some intense sauce on it because when i ate it i could literally feel the heat coming through te roof of my mouth out of my nose, like when fire comes out of cartoon characters noses'... ya thats literally what it felt like), some rice, straight up like a baby squid (it was a full on squid it was dead but ya it was a full on thing about the size of a
fist), some fish brains(actually probably the best thing i had that night) and just some straight up fried fish that the brought out.

So ya it was super intense and i honestly almost threw up like 4 times throughout the entire meal. I will say though that i have not had a single stomach issue since ive eaten it. I guess im getting more used to the food. That is definitely one of the greatest blessings i have seen on my mission so far. I hope that you all have a great week. Im going to Busan tomorrow for training meeting so thats a fun 3 hour
trip one way. Ill talk to you all again soon. Love you all!

Elder Maccarthy
