Hello everyone!
Me and Elder Lee Seogoo at 최은빈 자매님s Baptism

Sorry this weeks email is a day late. Yesterday we had to fly out to Busan for transfer meeting. It was my Mission President and his wife's last one so all the mission came out to say goodbye. They don't leave till Friday but I wont be able to see them again till after the mission. And since that was a big event and we had to fly back to Jeju the same day we didn't have a Pday.

So President Gilbert said we could email and shop today. Last week was a good week though. We had a Baptism which was super awesome. It was a very stressful week building up to that point but after the fact it was amazing. Me and my District Leader, Elder Heo Sheen Hang, went on splits on Saturday to her house to do the interview. He did it on the roof of some house next to Choi Un Been's house. It was a little rainy and windy so he said it was a little hard to do it, but that she had been prepared well none the less. So that was super cool.

A little side note to, one of our other investigators who is about 13 gave me some super cool handmade ocarina. Super cool kid. Things are coming along slowly but they're coming. So this is the start of the new transfer. Its a 7 week transfer so that'll be interesting. This is probably my last transfer on the island so I'm gonna make the most of my time here.

The weather has been really interesting lately too. Its SUPER humid here. And typhoon season started last Friday so ill be on Jeju for the most part of that. It was raining pretty crazy last week but it stopped today so that's good. I'm interested to see how well we will be able to do missionary work during a typhoon on an island. But all experiences are for our good.

My 8 month mark is coming up just around the corner, which will also be my half year mark in Korea. I'm by no means experienced in the ways of missionary work and feel still as if I came to Korea last week; but I have noticed many things, through observation and experience, that have changed my outlook on certain aspects of my life and way of thinking.

I've realized that missionary work is a lot more than I thought it was, and it lasts a lot longer than 2 years or 18 months. Its a life long thing. Missionary life isn't easy and sometimes you wish you didn't have as many rules as you did. But it really does change you one way or another the more obedient you are to them.

I'm thankful for all the wonderful support I have back at home. I love you all and I'll talk to you again next week!
